During this season of Thanksgiving, we felt it was important to express how truly thankful our staff at Hands of Hope is for each one of you - Thank You! We wanted to share this incredible response we received from a young woman by the name of Jayden after her visit to our Southside Tucson clinic. This response is a direct result of your support for Hands of Hope and our vision - so take joy in the work being done in Christ's name! May your Thanksgiving be blessed and may you be blessed by the following letter.

Walking up to the door of 'Hands of Hope' I never expected to get the genuine care provided to me in this facility. Like any medical facility I was expecting to be just a number. I was highly mistaken. Even when it came to the receptionist, she automatically greeted me with a genuine "Hello, how are you today?" She offered me water and wanted to make me feel comfortable.

My positive experience continued. Here is when I met Lita. She approached me, we shook hands, and she asked me to follow her into a room. Where again, I was offered water, coffee, anything to make me feel comfortable. I declined. Merely because I was scared, nervous, ashamed, and very undecided in what I was going to do. Within the first 5 minutes of speaking with Lita, the nervous feeling was gone.

I will not go in to too much detail with what Lita and I discussed because I feel that it was meant just for me. What I will say is, that I feel God placed me in that room for a reason. I feel as if he spoke through her, because she seemed to say everything that I needed to hear at that very moment. My feelings of indecisiveness and being scared were all thrown out of the window.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to her, and to share my story with 'Hands of Hope' in hopes that her loving and genuinely caring character will be recognized.

I expressed this to her and I would like to express it to whomever is reading this. She made me feel like a person and not just a patient. Her heart is pure and I felt that she truly wanted what was best for me.
