Christian ministry Hands of Hope Tucson is currently seeking a full-time position to serve at our Central Pregnancy Center in Tucson, Arizona. Hours are 35 a week, five days a week, and will include some evenings and weekends.
The Nurse Manager will work under the supervision of the Director of Client Services and will primarily supervise, oversee and evaluate all nursing care provided through Hands of Hope programs. This position will supervise nurse volunteers, and work in collaboration with the Medical Director.
Candidates should be a registered nurse in good standing in the State of Arizona with two years of experience in Obstetrics/Women’s Health. A bachelor’s of science degree is required and supervisory experience is preferred. Candidates should also have or be willing to attend training and obtain certification in 1st trimester ultrasound upon hire.
Candidates must have proven excellent leadership and communication skills, demonstrate the ability to effectively work with clients facing unplanned pregnancies as well as volunteers and staff, be organized, competent in computer systems and have a very pro-active approach to work. A passion for Jesus Christ and compassion for people facing an unplanned pregnancy are a must.
Duties include: policy development and management, train and evaluate volunteer nurses, maintain safe nursing practices, determine educational materials and medical supplies needed, budget development, provide follow up to at-risk clients, and oversee all medical concerns of the Pregnancy Center.
