Class 1: Life Advocacy provides the foundation of the pro-life position by looking at biology, philosophy and theology. This class meets on a Thursday evening and lasts 3 hours.
Class 2: Basic Training provides a broad overview of the issue of abortion in our nation, our community and an overview of the services offered by Hands of Hope Tucson. This class meets on a Saturday and lasts all day.
Class 3 and 4: Nuts and Bolts provides you with the specifics of meeting with clients at our centers and teaches you how to use our paperwork and educational materials. This class is divided into 2 sessions which meet on Thursday evenings, and each session lasts 3 hours.
Class 5: Scenario Saturday provides you with real life client scenarios so you can begin to practice all you have learned in a group setting. This class meets on a Saturday and lasts all day.
Those interested in becoming a Client Advocate or and Ultrasound Nurse need to attend all 5 Class sessions. After completing this 5 session training, ultrasound nurses will receive additional specialized training in sonography.
Those interested in becoming an Abortion recovery small group facilitator or a Community Educator need to attend Class 1 and Class 2. After completing these 2 classes there will be additional sessions scheduled.
Those interested in volunteering in any other capacity are encouraged to attend Class 1.
