The big day has finally come! So many prayers. So many plans. So many miracles leading up to this week...the opening of our new Pregnancy Medical Center just steps away from the only abortion clinic in Tucson!

Would you believe that from the time Hands of Hope became the official owners of our new building to the time we received the certificate of occupancy it was 9 months exactly? You read that correctly, in the same time it takes for a baby to develop in the womb, God's people were at work creating the space we began serving clients in this week! I don't believe this is a coincidence. I believe that God makes everything beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11) and He was letting us know that we were right in the center of His will!

I was the first person to arrive Monday morning and as I looked up at the sky I saw a big rainbow over the plaza. I laughed and thanked God for His goodness. It was as if He was smiling upon us and reminding us that His promises are yes and amen!

Our very first pregnancy test appointment was with a woman who had previously visited Planned Parenthood. She was seeking an abortion, however she was struggling with her emotions and asked if she could simply talk to someone. They told her "they didn't have time to talk with her" so she left and came to us!

During her appointment this client had an ultrasound and saw her 6 week old baby. She was grateful for the free services we provided and made comments about how beautiful the space was and how kind our staff was to her. She accepted our invitation to pray for her before she left and said that she is now considering continuing the pregnancy. When you support the work of Hands of Hope you are helping clients be brave! At Hands of Hope, time is a gift we offer our clients. The average woman choosing abortion makes her decision within 24 hours of confirming her pregnancy, which is why we offer same-day appointments. Since 1981, clients facing an unplanned pregnancy have found a safe place to think through their options and talk about the circumstances and the emotions surrounding them.

Among the many scheduled appointments and walk-ins we had the privilege of serving this week, we had a surprise visit from a previous client who was planning to have an abortion, but chose life for her child! Her daughter will be born in just a few days, so we gave her a baby gift basket full of things she will need for her little one. It is amazing to see the transformation that takes place when fear is bound and love takes over.
